This summer I am challenging my artistic ability by taking a month long online art class by my favorite artist Ten Hundred. Follow along as I go on this art journey!!
These are the drawings I have made so far. The first assignment was a 40 minute free draw.
For the second assignment I had to draw five characters.
For the third assignment I had to pick three words and draw details based on those. I chose adventure, robots, and music.
For the fourth assignment I had to draw a roadmap that I would use as my painting. I decided to go with a concert in the woods theme for my adventurers.
Next I build the Panel for my painting and applied three coats of gesso to it with sanding in between each coat.
I then put transfer paper on my panel so I could transfer my design onto it for painting.
I then prepped my panel for painting by putting a semi transparent coat of paint on it.
I then started by painting the background of the picture.
I worked on the main character first.
Next I worked on the supporting characters.
After I finished my characters I applied a coat of varnish to the painting to help protect it.
Once the varnish dried I attached the hardware to hang the painting on the wall.
Here it is, my finished painting!!
